About the Employer:

Achievers Resource Solutions are excited to be recruiting a Director of Business Development for our client, a well established and formidable construction company who have offices in Dublin, Cork and Belfast. This company have been in operation for over 20 years and have thrived and continue to do so. As a result, they now require a Director of Business Development to oversee the sales department of the business. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a busy team and to take the company to the next level within their industry.

The Successful Candidate:

  • You must have a solid experience and have a proven sales track record in a similar role
  • You must have extensive experience within the construction industry
  • You will have excellent client relationship management, business development and negotiation skills
  • You must have strong analytical, problem-solving and IT skills
  • You will be driven with clear vision for success and have the ability to develop strategies for future growth in the sales department
  • You will have experience in managing a team

 As Director of Business Development your duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and lead strategies for the sales department
  • Manage a team of Business Development Managers effectively to ensure objectives are met
  • Maintain relationships with new and existing clients at senior level to ensure your team are engaging with and growing the professional network for the company
  • Ensure the product catalogue is always updated and in line with current trends
  • Liaise with Board of Operations on proposals for new business development
  • Ensure the CRM is continually updated by all members of the sales team
  • Attend conferences/events to keep up to date with industry changes
