About the Employer:
Our client, a leading FMCG provider is looking for an EHS Specialist to join their team in Louth. As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the health, safety and environmental management systems. For the successful candidate, there is an excellent package along with both pension and health insurance contributions.
As an EHS Specialist, your duties & responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with relevant statutory bodies to ensure UK, Irish and European legislation and guidance are adhered to.
- Supporting on-site health and safety meetings and forums across all sites.
- Managing the SHE budgets to include improvement projects linked to safety and environment.
- Carrying out internal auditing and inspections to ensure continuous improvements.
- Implementing OHSAS18001 along with internal safety processes.
- Delivering training on Key environmental and energy issues.
- To ensure all sites are legally compliant in environmental legislation.
- Co-ordinating and driving the ISO 14001 & ISO 50001 system in the plant along with developing annual plans to include targets for each department.
The Successful Candidate:
- Must have a degree or equivalent third level qualification in Health and Safety.
- Must have 5+ years’ experience in Health and Safety along with experience in environmental management.
- Will have knowledge of production processes along with financial and commercial understanding.
- Will have excellent communications skill and fluency in English.
- Will have the ability to Motivate and develop a team.
