About the Employer:

Our client, a rapidly expanding Engineering firm with a presence in Ireland and the UK, is recruiting an experienced Structural Engineer to work on a variety of challenging structural design projects. These projects run from residential to multi-million euro commercial developments. This role would suit an ambitious engineer looking to build their career in a dynamic team.

The Successful Candidate:

  • You must have a Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Level 8 or higher) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the design of buildings to Eurocode standards
  • You have design experience having worked on projects of varying size and scope
  • You are competent at structural engineering design in all common materials but specifically steel and reinforced concrete
  • You are experienced in dealing with clients, contractors and design team members and are an excellent communicator in both written and verbal form
  • Have experience and knowledge of Structural Design Software (Tedds, Tekla, Etabs), AutoCad and Microsoft Office

As a Structural Engineer, some of your duties & responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing structural engineering consultancy services to clients
  • Planning, organising and implementing concurrent tasks and projects
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team environment and producing accurate work to strict project deadlines
  • Providing a technical review of projects being tendered, offering alternative proposal where appropriate and providing advice on construction methodologies
  • Advising on technical issues on sites
  • Undertaking work designs
