Take the time to write up a proper job specification. Don’t just reach for the specification you used for the last job you filled and make a few tweaks here and there. The job specification is what will attract the candidate. Therefore, match the job specification to the type of candidate you want to apply for the role. You need to make the role enticing but not misleading otherwise you will not attract suitable applications.
